The Mykonos Museum is small and the archeological collections certainly doesn't rival the one Athens or the neighboring island of Delos, but it is an accumulation of artifacts that have merit. The collection inside this museum includes exhibits dating from the Prehistoric to the Hellenistic period.
Here are some of the items we saw inside.
Glass cases display the pottery dating back centuries. Some are plain but it's amazing that the painted designs are still visible.
This is an example of the larger works displayed. Some of the pottery is cracked but still holding together. Below you see decorative vessels and arrowheads, a few jewelry pieces and woven ropes.
